WEEKLY RATE – Rates Remain in Same Narrow Range After August Jobs Report

Interest rates continue to remain steady – falling in the same range for almost 2 months now.

The Jobs Report on Friday came out slightly weaker than expected, but a major economic report on Tuesday came in way below expectations helping the mortgage backed security market on Tuesday.

The MBS market closed up +13 bps last week, and up +41 bps on Tuesday. 

Rates still floating just above historic lows.
