WEEKLY RATE – Interest Rates Hit 6 Week Lows

WEEKLY RATE – Interest Rates Hit 6 Week Lows

April 2016

Interest rates improved to 6 week lows after the US Non Farm Payroll report on Friday.

Rate pricing had steadily improved throughout the week spurned by FED Chief Janet Yellen’s statements on Tuesday.

On Friday, when job creation met expectations, lenders repriced significantly lower.

The Mortgage Backed Security (MBS) market closed the week + 94 bps and rates hit their lowest levels in over a month.  Great time to lock in a rate.
